Hate is a Strong Word

Hate is a strong word, so it's important to save it for things that really get under your skin like arrogant ambulette drivers, the word nifty, and racial profiling.  Overuse of 'hate' will affect it's potency, just like caffeine and spermicide. 

Love is also a strong word, but use it liberally because it might get men to buy you things like a yacht or a condo in Destin.

Your Own Bed

After a long business trip or theme cruise, there's nothing like getting home to your own bed.  You might not have a memory foam mattress or an organic bedspread, but nothing beats sleeping amongst your own dead skin cells and waking up glued to your own sheets. 

Strange beds are only better if you've recently discovered bed bugs or your whore side.

Deeper Understandings

Traveling to distant lands and studying the day-to-day lives of foreign peoples may deepen your understanding that clothes, food and religion don't really matter because underneath it all, all people are assholes.  Greed and selfishness exist even in countries that don't have McDonalds and kids are cruel even if they call Santa "Sinterklaas" or "Muhammad." 

Of course, some people aren't assholes, but those people are usually married to one. 

Travels vs. Vacations

Traveling is the same thing as plain old vacationing, but it sounds more worldly and sophisticated.  Saying that you love to travel sounds better than saying you love to vacation because you don't want people to think that you're lazy.

While traveling and vacationing are generally the same thing, traveling usually involves a foreign culture and some sort of meat that frightens you, while vacationing means ignoring culture and drinking so much that nothing scares you.

Thinking for Yourself

When you don't feel like thinking for yourself, there are many people chomping at the bit to think for you.  Some are looking to sell you cosmetics or time shares, while others would like you to join them for education on the compound.  Regardless of their reason, you won't have to go to the trouble of thinking for yourself.

The mind is powerful and complex, like carbohydrate cravings and like carbohydrate cravings, the mind is difficult to control.  Let go, let someone else control your mind, and catch up on TiVo.
