Eggs and Baskets

If you put all your eggs in one basket, you're probably going to trip or the bottom will fall out because the basket was made by child slave labor that doesn't appreciate the art of crafting a fine basket.  Spreading your eggs out to multiple baskets means all of your eggs can meet a tragic end as long as one survives. 

The concept of not putting all your eggs in one basket is something rock musicians and gigolos have known for decades, when eggs means sperm and baskets means women.
