If you want to go out with a bang, don't die on the weekend, or even late on a Friday. People are busy with grilling and Netflix on the weekend, making them more apathetic. But, during the week, everyone is looking for a distraction from their TPS reports and an excuse not to make it to the Fifth Street School recital.
Dying young, falling victim to an extremely rare disease or perishing in a large, national tragedy will also get you more attention.
