When you're given a small task that is obviously beneath you because you went to college and know how to spell liaison without looking it up, you're not allowed to say anything. Speaking up threatens the person who hired you to do small tasks they thought were beneath them. In the constant struggle for power, you need to do mundane things with a smile on your face or else you seem bitter or entitled.
If you want your boss's job, look for ways to humiliate or discredit him. Try signing him up for adult literacy classes using his company card or tell people he's still a Boy Scout.
